About the Guadalupe River

The southernmost trout fishery in the United States‚ the Guadalupe River below Canyon Lake Dam is stocked by the state and local TU chapter each winter with rainbows and some browns. Most fish are caught on small nymphs (#16-18) or midge pupae (#20-22) using dead-drift nymphing techniques.
